Weather permitting, we have PE outside in the fall and spring months, and in the gym during the winter months.
The school has a big grassy outdoor field where we play soccer, capture the flag, frisbee golf, forest tag, and kickball. We play basketball both indoors and outdoors. Volleyball, badminton, and circuits are other popular activities. When beginning each sport, we learn, practice, and develop skills to include ball handling, depth perception, timing, and coordination. Exercises to develop balance, strength, speed and flexibility are part of our PE routine, and students take turns leading these exercises. Teamwork, leadership, confidence, strategy, good health, and sportsmanship are integral to the PE program.
